Freestyle training camp description
These sessions are open to figure skaters only, and are not open to the public. Skaters are able to practice and perfect existing skills, practice skills learned in camp classes and explore the freedoms and creativity of figure skating. The more skaters practice, the quicker they learn and develop muscle memory. Skaters are also able to play routine music on these sessions on the loud speaker.
Coffee Club
Starting Friday August 7th we will be starting Coffee club camp. This camp is one hour long, runs for 8 weeks and open to all adult skaters that have either never skated or would like to sharpen their skating skills. It will be 30 minutes of instruction time and will also include 30 minutes practice time! This is a good way to meet other skaters and enjoy the sport of skating.
Days offered Friday 1:20 PM - 2:20 PM
SAFETY MEASURES
Icetown Riverside Skating and Hockey Camp will be enforcing the following safety procedures that include and are not limited to:
Face Coverings. All skaters and coaches are required to wear face coverings while at the ice rink.
Limited Capacity. To follow day camp guidelines, skaters will be divided into small social distanced groups off-ice prior to entering the ice and kept with the same supervisor according to age throughout the entire day. Groups will be assigned to the same supervisors all week.
Cleaning procedures. All staff members will sanitize supplies/facilities throughout the day. Hand-washing and hand sanitizing will be practiced frequently.
Social Distancing. All activities on and off the ice will follow social distancing guidelines. All camp groups will be spaced out throughout the ice arena and locker rooms during each activity. Skaters are expected to be spread out where they put their belongings
Staff training. All staff members within the facility are trained with all new COVID-19 safety measures and practices.
